Kristin Sabatino was born and raised in the Chicago-land area. She studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art where she received her degree in Fine Art and Illustration.

Kristin has been a freelance artist for nearly fifteen years and has worked in all mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor and pastel. Her background includes working on murals and one-of-a-kind commissioned art for commercial and residential clients as well as interior designers. The majority of her clients request murals painted in nursery and children's rooms, however she has painted everything from borders to a bathtub.

Kristin is a member of the Chicago Artists' Coalition and The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. She also develops and teaches art programs to children and teens. She currently resides in a suburb of Chicago with her husband and son.
